Patty Wong is City Librarian for Santa Clara City Library, since October 2021.In her career she has worked throughout California, in Santa Monica,Yolo County, Stockton, Oakland and Berkeley. Patty has been a children’s and teen librarian,School cataloger, Youth Service coordinator, Deputy Director, Archivist and Director.She enjoys work in managing change, equity and diversity, youth development,collaborations between public libraries and community agencies, and fundraising. Patty is former President of ALA, and active with the ethnic professional library associations. As part-time faculty for SJSU iSchool, Patty has taught hundreds of LIS students to serve young people and write grants to change the world.
