On October 10th, author Aida Salazar gave a virtual author visit and presentation to some fifth-grade students at an elementary school in Chicago. She talked about her book “A Seed in the Sun,” which was a 2023 finalist for the Jane Addams Children’s Book Award in the chapter book category. The Books In Their Hands program also donated books for all of the children who watched the presentation! The children were kind enough to write Ms. Salazar thank you notes for her visit.
