On October 17th, author Michael Genhart gave an in-person author visit and presentation to students at an elementary school in Pittsburgh. He talked about his book “Spanish Is The Language of My Family,” which was a 2024 finalist for the Jane Addams Children’s Book Award in the chapter book category. The Books In Their Hands program also donated books for all of the children who watched the presentation! The kids were even able to do a community art project based on the book.
